Houston Texans Sign Veteran Defensive Tackle

In just a matter of weeks, the Houston Texans have seemingly turned around the entire culture of the franchise with the addition of new Head Coach DeMeco Ryans, and after nabbing Hassan Ridgeway earlier in free agency, they've now found another fantastic veteran. 

Earlier today, Houston finalized a deal with veteran Defensive Tackle Sheldon Rankins, who was last with the New York Jets in 2022, to a one-year deal worth $10.5 million, as he, along with Ridgeway will become key leaders on this young team.

In 2022, the 28-year old racked up 43 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 forced fumble and 5 tackles for loss, and was a fantastic, physical presence up front for New York, and if he can do that in Houston, the back end of this defence will be better off for it.
