Las Vegas Raiders Re-Sign Former 1st-Round Pick Defensive Tackle

The Las Vegas Raiders have announced the re-signing of defensive tackle Jerry Tillery.

Tillery joined the Raiders for eight games in the previous season after being waived by the Los Angeles Chargers.

He started in four games, recording ten tackles and two quarterback hits. Tillery was originally drafted by the Chargers as the 28th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Over three-plus seasons with the Chargers, he recorded 106 tackles, 12 tackles for losses, 10.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 54 games.

His most impressive season was in 2021 when he posted career highs with 51 tackles, six tackles for losses, and 4.5 sacks in 16 games, starting 15 of them.

The 26-year-old defensive tackle will aim to bolster the Raiders' defense in the upcoming season.

He's entering his fifth NFL season.
