Las Vegas Raiders Sign Former Chargers Wide Receiver

The Las Vegas Raiders have added another wide receiver to their roster by signing DeAndre Carter to a one-year contract.

Carter spent the 2022 season with the Los Angeles Chargers, where he posted the best numbers of his career with 46 receptions for 538 yards and three touchdowns, in addition to contributing on special teams.

The 29-year had to play behind star receivers Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, but really stepped up when either or both receivers went down with injury.

He also showcased his versatility as a return specialist, accumulating 497 kickoff return yards and 339 punt return yards.

With the Raiders, Carter is expected to provide additional depth at the wide receiver position behind Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers, and Hunter Renfrow.

Additionally, his ability to contribute in multiple ways should make him a valuable asset to the team. Despite going undrafted in 2015, Carter has accumulated valuable experience playing for various NFL teams, including the Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, and San Francisco 49ers.

For his career, spanning five seasons and 77 games, Carter has amassed 104 receptions for 1,220 yards (11.7 avg) and six touchdowns. Photo Credit: Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports
