Minnesota Vikings Star Requests Release

The Minnesota Vikings had a very successful 2022 season, but unfortunately, come playoff time, they struggled on both sides of the ball, and on the eve of free agency 2023, it appears that there's going to be some big changes.

Shockingly, it has been revealed that Pro Bowl pass-rusher Za'Darius Smith has officially requested his release from the team, and while they currently don't plan to honour that request, it's a situation that could get very interesting in the coming weeks.

After coming over from Green Bay ahead of the 2022 season, Smith racked up a solid 10 sacks on the season and was a catalyst for the success on that side of the ball, so it's unsurprising that Minnesota doesn't want to move him right now, so we will see how this plays out.
