New England Patriots Re-Sign 34-Year Old Safety

The New England Patriots have re-signed defensive back Cody Davis to a one-year contract for the 2023 season.

Despite being limited to just six games last year due to a knee injury, the team has decided to take another chance on the 34-year-old, who has spent the past three seasons with the Patriots.

While Davis has only played 19 defensive snaps during his time with the team, he is highly regarded as a core special teams player and will look to continue providing value in that role.

With his injury issues in mind, it remains to be seen whether he will make the 53-man roster, but his experience and leadership makes him a valuable addition to the team.

Entering his 11th NFL season, Davis has recorded 112 total tackles, one fumble recovery, two interceptions and eight passes defended across 133 games.
