New York Jets to Release Wide Receiver

According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, the New York Jets are releasing Braxton Berrios on March 15 - the start of the league year.

Schefter noted that the Jets and Berrios were aiming to rework his current deal, but an agreement could not be agreed upon. As a result, the Jets are moving on from the 2021 All-Pro selection, and he will now have the opportunity to test his value on the open market.

Teams looking for a bit more wide receiver and returner depth will certainly consider the prospect of signing Berrios. After all, he had a successful season in 2021, so teams may look past his rough 2022 campaign.

Nevertheless, the Jets have now cleared up cap space as they prepare for their busy offseason. We will need to wait and see where Berrios ends up from here.
