NFL Rumors: Miami Dolphins "Monitoring" Star Running Back's Availability

According to reports, the Miami Dolphins are among several teams closely monitoring the situation surrounding Dalvin Cook, the Minnesota Vikings' star running back.

While the Vikings have reportedly received trade offers for Cook, they are said to be planning to retain him for the upcoming season, as he is still under contract for three more years and set to earn $10.4 million in 2023.

Cook, who recently underwent shoulder surgery, is coming off his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl appearance and recorded 1,173 rushing yards, eight touchdowns, and 39 receptions for 295 yards and two more touchdowns in 17 games last season.

Despite a slight dip in his yards per carry, he remains one of the league's top running backs and would be a valuable asset to any team's offense.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding Cook's availability, the Dolphins are known for being aggressive in their pursuit of top talent and will likely continue to monitor the situation closely.

While Cook would undoubtedly be a significant addition to any team, it remains to be seen whether the Vikings will ultimately decide to pursue a trade during this year's offseason. Photo Credit:  Matt Krohn-USA TODAY Sports
