NFL Rumors: Veteran QB Has Major Preference For Free Agency Decision

After nine seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders in which he went to four Pro Bowls and remains their leader in plenty of passing categories, Derek Carr is now officially a free agent, and with plenty of teams showing interest, he has some great options.

After visits with the New Orleans Saints, Carolina Panthers and New York Jets since his release, it has now revealed that Carr is leaning towards New York as his ideal destination in 2023, which is unsurprising given their rise in 2022.

While the #Panthers and #Saints remain in the conversation for Derek Carr, the former Pro Bowl quarterback has a slight lean toward the #Jets as his next home as of now, per source. Nothing is final, but Jets -- who are linked to Aaron Rodgers -- have made an impression.

With Garrett Wilson, Elijah Moore, Tyler Conklin and Breece Hall, the team certainly have some young weapons, but they also possess something that he's never had; an elite defence, and if they do go with Carr over a trade for Aaron Rodgers, they'll be a very fun team to watch in 2023.
