Raiders Finalizing Deal To Sign TE Howard

The Las Vegas Raiders are reportedly reaching an agreement with tight end O.J. Howard on a deal, according to VegasNation reporter Vincent Bonsignore.

The Raiders recently dealt away their veteran TE Darren Waller to the Giants and have found their possible replacement in Howard.

Howard reportedly met with the Raiders earlier on Monday and it seems the two party's reached an agreement on the same day.

The former Alabama product was drafted to the NFL by the Buccaneers in 2017 and spent five years there before playing with the Texans in 2022.

However, Howard's production has been deteriorating these last two years and he will seemingly try to reverse that with his next stint in Las Vegas.

In Howard's first three seasons with Tampa he averaged 485.3 receiving yards with 94 receptions, and 12 touchdowns, but in his last two years the 28-year-old has only averaged 142 yards per season with five total touchdowns.
