Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sign Linebacker

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have re-signed linebacker Anthony Nelson to a two-year, $10 million contract, according to reports.

Nelson, who was drafted by the Bucs in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, saw his role increase in 2022 and had a career-best season, with eight starts and a 57 percent snap share on defense.

Over the past two seasons, Nelson has recorded 10.5 sacks and 11 TFLs, and he is expected to continue to be a regular contributor to the Buccaneers' linebacker corps in the upcoming season.

Entering his fifth NFL season, the 26-year-old has recorded 94 total tackles, 11.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and three passes defended across 59 games played.
