Texans Will Go After Quarterback In Upcoming Draft & Free Agency

Speaking Wednesday at the Combine, Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans confirmed that the team will look to add at the quarterback position through free agency and the draft.

Ryans emphasized that the team is only rostering one QB at the moment, Davis Mills, and they will need to add a couple more.

The Texans will very likely take a quarterback with their first-round pick, and the team is reportedly eyeing Alabama QB Bryce Young, with Ryans saying "he's an outstanding quarterback."

Ryans believes in building the system around the quarterback, rather than "trying to fit a quarterback into a certain system."

It's music to Texans' fans ears, who have had to suffer with Davis Mills under center for the past two seasons, that their new head coach is determined to fix their QB problem with a new face, rather than wait for Mills to try and figure it out.
