WR D.J. Montgomery To Work Out For Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly hosting free agent wide receiver D.J. Montgomery for a work out on Friday, sources told NFL Network's Jane Slater.

Montgomery will reportedly be taking part in the yearly "Dallas Day" workout which will include local draft prospects for the Cowboys as well.

The former undrafted pass-catcher spent last season with the Texans after he signed onto their practice squad on December 14, 2022, and previously spent time with the Jets and Browns.

Montgomery's only statistical season came in 2021 with the Jets where he played three games, and caught three receptions for 36 yards.

The Cowboys are looking to add more depth to their receiver core after they recently traded for WR Brandin Cooks from the Texans, while still having the likes of CeeDee Lamb, Michael Gallup, and KaVontae Turpin.
