Atlanta Falcons Release Veteran Cornerback

The Atlanta Falcons have been making solid moves all off-season long, picking up the likes of Jessie Bates, Kaleb McGary, Tae Davis and Calais Campbell among others, but on Friday, they made one of the more shocking moves we've seen in recent weeks.

After signing a two-year deal with the team ahead of the 2022 NFL season, veteran cornerback Casey Hayward has officially been released by the team, with the Falcons citing a failed physical as the reason for this.

The 2022 campaign was Hayward's 11th in the NFL thus far, and while he's no longer the All-Pro player he once was, he's a solid veteran contributor, and will no doubt have interest from other teams out there in the coming weeks and months.
