Kansas City Chiefs Re-Sign Wide Receiver

The Kansas City Chiefs have reportedly signed wide receiver Justin Watson to a two-year contract extension.

Watson had been given another chance to prove himself to the team's coaching staff. And, in the 2022 season, he set career-highs with 15 receptions for 315 yards and two touchdowns on 34 targets across 17 games, earning himself a contract extension.

It seems that Watson will continue to play a rotational deep threat role for the team, working alongside quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Despite having limited production in the past, the Chiefs have evidently seen potential in Watson and are willing to invest in him for the next two years. It will be interesting to see how he develops and contributes to the team in the future.
