Panthers Sign S Rowe

The Carolina Panthers have added some secondary help by signing safety Eric Rowe to a contract on Thursday for the upcoming 2022-23 season.

Rowe, a former Dolphin last season, entered the NFL as a cornerback when he was drafted by the Eagles as a second-rounder in 2015, but has shifted into more defensive back roles (safety and nickel) in recent memory, i.e., with the Patriots from 2016-18, and with the Dolphins since 2019.

The two-time Super Bowl champion has played in 100 games with 56 starts. He has recorded a total of five interceptions, six forced fumbles, and one touchdown.

Rowe adds his versatile veteran presence in a Dolphins defensive line that recently acquired former Bengals safety Vonn Bell to work alongside in tandem with FS Xavier Woods.
