Patriots To Add Quarterback

The New England Patriots have reportedly added signal-caller Trace McSorley to their quarterback room, according to ESPN's Field Yates.

McSorley will imminently join a quarterback mix of Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe as the third option for the 2022-23 season.

The 27-year-old recently saw action with the Cardinals last season appearing in six games, with one start. He unfortunately did not complete a touchdown, and committed five interceptions with 412 yards passing in his 2022-23 campaign.

The former Penn State product was originally drafted as a sixth-rounder in 2019 (197th overall) by the Ravens, and threw his lone touchdown for Baltimore in the 2020-21 season. Arizona would eventually sign McSorley off of the Ravens practice squad on November 22, 2021.

It is also worth noting that New England's offensive coordinator Bill O' Brien helped recruit McSorley to his alma mater Penn State when he was the program's head coach back in 2014.
