49ers Sign 3 Players To 1-Year Deals

The San Francisco 49ers have signed quarterback Brandon Allen, defensive lineman Marlon Davidson, and tight end Troy Fumagalli each to one-year deals, the team announced on Monday.

Their were multiple reports of Allen signing with the 49ers last week, and it was made official by the 49ers on Monday. The 30-year-old was a former sixth-rounder by the Jaguars in 2016, and has played for three NFL teams (Rams, Broncos, and Bengals). He has posted 10 touchdowns against six interceptions in 15 games (nine starts) within his seven-year NFL career.

Davidson, who was drafted in the second round by the Falcons in 2020, has appeared in 19 games with only one start in his three-year career. He registered 29 tackles, one interception, and 1.0 sack for his former Atlanta club.

Fumagalli was originally drafted by Denver as a fifth-rounder in 2018. He spent his first two years with the Broncos, one season with the Patriots, and last season on/off the 49ers practice squad. He was released on November 7, 2022 after signing to the 49ers practice squad on September 7, 2022. The 28-year-old TE has only appeared in 19 games, which was during his time in Denver, and caught two touchdowns with 118 yards receiving.
