Arizona Cardinals Claim Safety & Defensive Tackle Off Waivers

The Arizona Cardinals have recently claimed safety Andre Chachere off waivers from the Philadelphia Eagles, bolstering their roster with a familiar face.

Chachere, who had a previous stint on the Cardinals' practice squad in 2019, joins the team after spending the past two seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Primarily utilized on special teams, he played in 23 games for the Eagles, including all 16 games in 2021. With a total of 20 tackles to his name, eight of which came on special teams, Chachere has proven his value in that area.

During his time with the Eagles, Chachere accumulated significant playing time, with 322 snaps in 2021 and 141 snaps in 2022.

His familiarity with Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon, who previously served as the Eagles' defensive coordinator, provides Chachere with a valuable understanding of the defensive system.

The Cardinals have also claimed defensive tackle Ben Stille off waivers from the Cleveland Browns.

The 25-year-old contributed three tackles and one quarterback hit during his time on the field. In his sole game with the Dolphins, Stille recorded two tackles.

Standing at an imposing 6-foot-5 and weighing 295 pounds, Stille entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent from Nebraska.

However, the Browns recently decided to part ways with him, potentially due to the strong competition within their defensive tackle group.
