Detroit Lions Sign Free Agent Wide Receiver

The big wide receiver is headed to Detroit.

Versatile wide receiver Keytaon Thompson recently signed with the Detroit Lions.

Thompson began his collegiate career as a quarterback at Mississippi State, but after transferring to the University of Virginia, he successfully transitioned to the wide receiver position.

At UVA, Thompson showcased his skills and proved to be a valuable asset, leading the team in receptions with 78 in 2022 and earning All-ACC honors in consecutive seasons. With his unique skill set and adaptability, Thompson aims to make a significant impact for the Lions as he embarks on his professional career in the NFL.

Despite his big stature at 6-4, 218-pounds, he primarily aligned in the slot the past two seasons, impressively catching 131 balls for 1,569 yards during that stretch, earning third-team all-conference honors in 2022.
