Saints Add TE James

The New Orleans Saints have signed tight end Jesse James to a contract for the upcoming 2023-24 season, the club announced on Wednesday, with no terms of the agreement disclosed as of yet.

James appeared in just two games for the Browns last season before remaining on the sidelines for the majority of the year due to injury. He was taken by the Steelers as a fifth-rounder in 2015 and spent four years in Pittsburgh.

The 28-year-old would move on to play two seasons in Detroit, and a lone campaign in Chicago before joining Cleveland last season.

The former Penn State product has caught 157 passes for 1,522 yards, and 12 touchdowns over his eight year career. James will join a tight end room in New Orleans with their newly signed TE Foster Moreau, Taysom Hill, and Juwan Johnson.

The Saints also announced the signing of fullback Jake Bargas, and also waived their kicker Alex Quevedo.
