Baltimore Ravens Sign Free Agent Cornerback

The Baltimore Ravens have strengthened their cornerback position with the addition of rookie Jordan Swann to their 90-man roster.

Despite going undrafted from James Madison, Swann has shown promise during his college career, showcasing impressive numbers in his final season with 24 tackles, two interceptions, two sacks, and a forced fumble.

At 5-foot-10 and 181 pounds, Swann's slight stature may be compensated by his potential as a slot cornerback and his experience as a returner on special teams.

The Ravens' cornerback depth chart now includes a mix of established names and young talents. With Marlon Humphrey and Rock Ya-Sin leading the way, the team is looking to lighten their workload and foster breakout performances from rising stars like Jalyn Armour-Davis, Pepe Williams, Kyu Blu Kelly, and others.

The addition of Swann, with his local ties to Baltimore and versatility on special teams, further bolsters the team's defensive depth.

Throughout their history, the Ravens have excelled at discovering undrafted free agent gems, and they are hoping Swann will be another success story.

By relying on their young players, the Ravens aim to strengthen their secondary and create a formidable defensive unit for the upcoming 2023 season. Photo Credit: Scott Utterback/Courier Journal / USA TODAY NETWORK
