Breaking: New England Patriots Extend Veteran Wide Receiver

The New England Patriots have struggled for consistency at a high level since the departure of Tom Brady, and unfortunately, it appears that their method of playing below average weapons for the QB to elevate isn't working, so today's move is certainly a surprise.

On Wednesday, the team have officially extended veteran wide receiver DeVante Parker to a three-year deal worth up to #33 million, in a deal that also includes $14 million in guarantees and per-game bonuses, keeping him in New England for the foreseeable future.

In his first season with the Patriots, the 30-year old played in 13 games, tallying 31 catches for 539 yards along with 3 Touchdowns, and with some new additions this off-season, he's certainly going to be a leader on a team that will be battling a very tough AFC East division throughout the year.
