Kansas City Chiefs Rumors: New York Jets WR On Team's Radar

The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to add to their wide receiver depth before the start of the regular season. At this point of the offseason, their options are limited, but it appears that they have a new trade target - New York Jets wide receiver Denzel Mims.

It was recently reported that Mims has an uphill battle to make the team. He also has made it known that he would like a change of scenery. Thus, now seems like the perfect time for both parties to move on. The 25-year-old is viewed as having a lot of potential, but he just has not been able to reach it during his three-year career. Perhaps joining the Chiefs and having an elite QB like Patrick Mahomes throwing him the ball could help change that.

In 30 career games with the Jets, Mims has posted zero touchdowns, 42 receptions, and 676 receiving yards. We will need to wait and see if he gets the chance to improve upon these stats as a member of the Chiefs next season from here.
