New York Jets Release Backup Safety

The New York Jets have had an incredibly interesting and successful off-season to this point, acquiring several key pieces to this team, and with more moves to make (Aaron Rodgers contract, extension for Quinnen Williams, more depth at linebacker), they had to make some releases, and that unfortunately for Will Parks began today.

Officially, the New York Jets have once again released the safety Will Parks, who was expected to come into the year as depth for Jordan Whitehead and Chuck Clark, but now, it looks like the Jets are going in a different direction.

In 7 years at the NFL level, Parks has appeared in 90 games for Denver, New York, Miami and Philadelphia, racking up 4 interceptions, 14 passes defended, 206 tackles and 1 fumble recovery, and while he's yet to make his mark as a starter, he'll be a good depth piece for any team around the league.
