REPORT: DeAndre Hopkins Reveals Team He's "Interested" In Signing With

There have been reports suggesting that free agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins may be interested in rejoining the Houston Texans, the team he spent the first seven years of his NFL career with.

This news comes as a surprise, as it was widely believed that Hopkins was seeking to join a Super Bowl contender in 2023, such as the Buffalo Bills or the Kansas City Chiefs.

Hopkins' potential return to the Texans could provide a boost to the team, both on and off the field. During his time in Houston, Hopkins made a significant impact, earning four Pro Bowl selections. As the Texans embark on a rebuilding phase, his veteran leadership and familiarity with the organization could prove invaluable.

Despite a suspension-shortened season last year, Hopkins demonstrated his elite productivity with 64 receptions, 717 yards, and 3 touchdowns.

With rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud expected to start in 2023, having a reliable and experienced pass-catching target like Hopkins would be a valuable asset for the Texans.

The Texans have struggled in recent years, managing only 11 wins over the past three seasons. As they work on rebuilding the team, having Hopkins as their top target would undoubtedly help their offensive efforts.

His return would bring excitement to the fanbase and potentially provide a much-needed spark for the franchise. Photo Credit: © Michael Chow/The Republic / USA TODAY NETWORK
