Jacksonville Jaguars Sign Tight End, Son Of Head Coach

The Jacksonville Jaguars were one of the stories of the NFL a season ago, as they took a massive step forward under Quarterback Trevor Lawrence and new Head Coach Doug Pederson, and with such a promising young core, the future is no doubt bright in Jacksonville.

On Friday, the team added to that talented group by signing young tight end Josh Pederson, who just happens to be the son of Doug, and while this doesn't promise him a spot on the team, he's got a good chance of being a depth player for them going forward.

Despite spending two seasons on practice rosters in the NFL, Pederson made his way to the USFL this past season, racking up 24 catches for 325 yards in his six starts for the Houston Gamblers, and now, he may finally get his chance to take some significant NFL snaps.
