Miami Dolphins Wide Receiver Tyreek Hill Cleared for Week 8

The Miami Dolphins should have their game-changing speedster ready when they face the New England Patriots in Week 8. According to NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe, seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Tyreek Hill should be ready to go for Sunday's crucial AFC East showdown. Hill missed practice earlier this week with a hip injury suffered during the Dolphins' 31-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 7. Fellow Dolphin Tua Tagovailoa initially expressed uncertainty that Hill would be ready to go for Sunday's game.

Hill had been arguably the most dynamic and valuable wide receiver in the NFL since debuting as a third-round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2016, but his arrival on the Dolphins in 2022 has seen him reach truly rarified air. He has averaged an astonishing 108.8 receiving yards per game and 10.7 yards per target over his last 24 starts, and he's on pace for a record-setting 2191 yards in 2023.

As impressive as Hill's individual production is, it undersells the overall impact he has had on the Dolphins offense. Since acquiring Hill, the Dolphins have scored 26.5 points per game, up from 20.1 in 2021, and Tagovailoa has seen his passer rating jump from 88.8 over his first two seasons to an NFL-best 107.3 mark over his last 20 starts. If ever a wide receiver could flirt with MVP consideration, it'd be Hill this season.
