Baltimore Ravens Sign Derrick Henry to Multi-Year Deal

Heading into the offseason, it was clear that one of the Baltimore Ravens' top objectives was to sign a running back. Now, they have done just that, as they have signed Derrick Henry to a two-year, $16 million contract.
NFL insider Adam Schefter also reported that Henry can earn up to $20 million, and he will get a guaranteed $9 million for his first season with the Ravens.
This officially marks the end of Henry's eight-year tenure with the Tennessee Titans. When noting how excellently he played during his time with the Titans, it is clear that this is a notable pickup for the Ravens.

Henry, 30, is a four-time Pro Bowler who is coming off of another excellent season. In 17 games last season with the Titans, he had 12 touchdowns, 280 rushes, and 1,167 rushing yards. Adding that kind of offense to their roster will be big for the Ravens, and it will be intriguing to see how well he fits into their system from here.

The Ravens' offense now has the potential to burn their opponents in two ways, as Henry gives them an elite running back to work with superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson.
