New York Jets Sign Mike Williams

The New York Jets have made a big move, as they have signed wide receiver Mike Williams to a one-year contract. According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Williams can make up to $15 million from the deal.

Williams, 29, was limited to only three games this past season with the Los Angeles Chargers due to a torn ACL injury. However, as Schultz also reported, Williams has made significant progress with his injury, which is great news to hear.
Williams will now provide the Jets with another high-impact wide receiver that they desperately needed. He has the potential to thrive while playing with an elite quarterback in Aaron Rodgers. Along with that, he gives the Jets a strong one-two punch at the wide receiver position along with Garrett Wilson.

Williams spent the entire first seven seasons of his NFL career with the Chargers and put up solid totals. In 88 games with the Chargers, he had 31 touchdowns, 309 receptions, and 4,806 receiving yards. Now, he will be looking to make a bigger impact while as a member of the Jets.

It will be interesting to see how well Williams fits into the Jets' system from here. On paper, it looks like there could be a good match here.
