TRADE: Broncos Acquire Zach Wilson From Jets

Zach Wilson is finally getting a much-needed change of scenery, as the New York Jets are trading the former first-round pick and a 2024 seventh-round pick to the Denver Broncos in exchange for a 2024 sixth-round pick.
Wilson had been one of the biggest names in the rumor mill all offseason, and he is finally getting a fresh start with the Broncos. The hope now is that he can get his career back on track and become an impactful quaterback for the Broncos.

Wilson, 24, was drafted by the Jets with the second overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft. The expectation was that he would become a star quarterback with the Jets, but that just did not come to fruition. Now, the Jets are moving on from him because of it.

Wilson appeared in 12 games this past season for the Jets, where he threw eight touchdowns, seven interceptions, and 2,271 yards. He started in 11 of those matchups, where he posted a 4-7 record. Along with that, he completed 221 out of 368 attempted passes.

It will now be interesting to see if Wilson can turn things back around as a member of the Broncos from here. This is a low-risk move for the Broncos, as they gave up virtually nothing to land the former top prospect.
