Top 5 Free Agents Still Available
Matt Holder of Bleacher Report recently highlighted the top five NFL free agents still available, despite being five months removed from the start of free agency.
At the forefront is safety Justin Simmons, released by the Denver Broncos due to financial constraints.
Simmons, a four-time second-team All-Pro and Pro Bowl selection, remains a highly productive player, recording three interceptions and eight passes defended last season.
Current free agent and former #Cowboys CB Stephon Gilmore is gearing up for his next opportunity in the NFL.

Whether that be back in Dallas or with another contender, the 2x All-Pro and 12-year vet still has something to give in the secondary 🤟

His impressive performance metrics, including a 77.6 run defense grade from Pro Football Focus, make him a highly sought-after asset for teams looking to bolster their secondary.
Another standout free agent is cornerback Stephon Gilmore, the 2019 Defensive Player of the Year.
Released by the Dallas Cowboys to manage their salary cap and focus on other contract extensions, Gilmore still possesses elite ball skills, evidenced by his two interceptions and 13 passes defended last season.

Despite undergoing surgery to repair a torn labrum, Gilmore is confident in his ability to remain a starting cornerback in the league and is patiently waiting for the right opportunity.
Rounding out Holder's list are offensive lineman Connor Williams, edge rusher Yannick Ngakoue, and cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon.
Williams, recovering from a torn ACL, is reportedly ahead of schedule and has drawn interest from teams like the Seattle Seahawks.
Ngakoue, who posted a career-low four sacks last season due to a broken ankle, has been working out and remains a potential asset for teams needing pass-rush help.
Witherspoon, coming off a career year with three interceptions and 14 passes defended, is seeking a new team after the Los Angeles Rams opted to sign other cornerbacks in free agency.
As teams finalize their rosters for the upcoming season, these free agents offer valuable experience and talent that could significantly bolster any franchise aiming for playoff success.
