NFL Trade Rumors: New York Jets Wide Receiver Garret Wilson Struggling in Camp
The New York Jets' most important relationship has apparently hit a rough patch. According to multiple sources, wide receiver Garrett Wilson and quarterback Aaron Rodgers have struggled to get on the same page so far in training camp.
"He's vocalizing he was pissed off. I know when we're getting our ass beat, I'm pissed off."

Wilson and Rodgers have been seen arguing as the offense after various failed plays, but both have downplayed the incidents.
When it comes to training camp, one side's failure is another side's success. On paper, the Jets should have one of the best defenses in the NFL, so it shouldn't be too alarming that they have a head start on an offense that is still so fresh. Rodgers only played four regular-season snaps last season, his first with the team.
Still, the Jets' offense needs to attain a base level of competence if they're going to come out of the highly competitive AFC East. Wilson, in particular, will need to take a huge leap forward. The potency of the Jets receiving corps will depend heavily on whether or not he can emerge as a credible WR1. After a promising first season that earned him Offensive Rookie of the Year, he took a significant step back in 2023, averaging 61.3 receiving yards per game and a pitiful 6.2 yards per target.
The Jets have one of the league's most intriguing rosters, but there really is no telling how all its pieces will gel in 2024. The stakes couldn't be higher: They have a vanishingly small window to chase Super Bowl glory: Rodgers will turn 41 this season and is coming off an Achilles tear. If this season goes poorly, the organization may very well have to clean house in 2025.
