NFL Trade Rumors: Surprising News On Falcons & Kyle Pitts

As speculation swirls around the Atlanta Falcons’ roster, tight end Kyle Pitts and quarterback Kirk Cousins are at the center of offseason trade rumors.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, teams continue calling about Pitts despite his current foot injury, and the Falcons, while not actively shopping him, aren’t shutting down conversations.

Falcons still fielding trade calls on Kyle Pitts as Steelers monitor Cousins

Pitts is reportedly dealing with a strained muscle in his foot, sidelining him during OTAs. Though the injury is minor, it may impact his trade value, especially with a fully guaranteed $11 million salary in the final year of his rookie deal. Schefter believes the Falcons would only consider moving him for "ample compensation," estimating a third-round pick as a potential asking price. Still, it’s unclear whether any team will meet both the draft and salary demands for a player who hasn’t matched his early-career Pro Bowl form.

Meanwhile, Kirk Cousins remains in Atlanta largely due to his $27.5 million contract. But that could change. Schefter named the Pittsburgh Steelers as a team to watch, especially if Aaron Rodgers fails to report to minicamp. With Rodgers dragging out his decision, the Steelers may grow impatient and look to the Falcons for a potential solution at quarterback. For now, both Cousins and Pitts remain Falcons, but trade talks are far from over.
