BREAKING: Running Back Nick Chubb Chooses Next Playing Destination

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb introduced before 2024 game.

Nick Chubb is reportedly on his way to the Houston Texans, with multiple outlets confirming that the four-time Pro Bowl running back is expected to sign a one-year deal on Monday, pending a physical.

After an injury-riddled two seasons in Cleveland, Chubb chose Houston despite receiving more lucrative offers elsewhere, drawn in by the team’s rising contender status and the opportunity to complement fellow veteran Joe Mixon.

Texans Set to Sign Nick Chubb for Backfield Boost

Chubb, 29, played just 10 games across 2023 and 2024 after suffering a devastating knee injury and later breaking his foot. Despite limited action last season, he managed 332 rushing yards, three touchdowns, and remained a dependable presence when healthy.

He joins a Texans backfield currently featuring Mixon, Dameon Pierce, and rookie Woody Marks. With Mixon managing injuries and Houston aiming to reduce his workload, Chubb could see meaningful touches if he proves durable.

While Chubb may no longer be the 1,500-yard force he was in 2022, the Texans are betting on a low-risk, high-upside rebound. With mandatory minicamp starting Tuesday, Chubb could be on the field as soon as this week.
