NFL Rumors: Eagles Linked To Trade For Help At One Position

The Philadelphia Eagles are undefeated at 3-0, but that hasn’t stopped speculation that general manager Howie Roseman could be back on the phones.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Eagles “might not be done at cornerback and could survey the market” for reinforcements following Adoree’ Jackson’s recent groin injury.

Eagles eyeing cornerback trade

Philadelphia already lost longtime starter Darius Slay in free agency this summer, and while Quinyon Mitchell has emerged as a lockdown presence, depth remains a concern.

Third-year corners Jakorian Bennett and Kelee Ringo have been asked to step up, but Roseman’s track record suggests the Eagles won’t hesitate to add experience if the right opportunity presents itself. Fowler noted that Houston Texans GM Nick Caserio could become a trade partner if Houston’s 0-3 slide continues.

The Eagles have already been aggressive in recent months, swinging deals for Tank Bigsby and John Metchie III while signing Za’Darius Smith in free agency.
