U.S. Marshals took the former All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown into custody in Dubai, then flew him to New Jersey, where he is being held before transfer to Miami.
He faces a second-degree attempted murder charge connected to an alleged May shooting outside a celebrity boxing event in Miami, with police saying a victim reported a grazing neck wound.

Arrest, Extradition, and the Charge
Miami police confirmed Brown’s arrest and pending extradition to Florida. Investigators allege Brown grabbed a handgun from security after a post-event altercation and fired two shots.
Video circulating online showed a melee where apparent gunshots were heard, and Brown was briefly detained that night, then released. A warrant was issued in June.
If convicted of second-degree attempted murder with a firearm, Brown could face up to 15 years in prison and fines.

What Led to the Warrant
Brown has publicly claimed he was jumped, said he blacked out, and denied wrongdoing on social media. Authorities say evidence identified him as the shooter, and the case will proceed in Miami once he is transferred from New Jersey.
The former wide receiver starred for the Pittsburgh Steelers, played one game for the New England Patriots, and won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the Kansas City Chiefs.
His NFL career ended in 2021 after a high-profile sideline exit against the New York Jets, and he has since faced multiple legal issues.
