NFL Rumors: Ravens Predicted To Trade Lamar Jackson To Shocking Team

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson runs with the ball during 2025 game.

NFL front offices love a good “no way that happens” idea until it starts getting repeated in enough rooms.

That is exactly what Jeremy Fowler reported at ESPN, where multiple league evaluators used their bold prediction chip on the same move: the Baltimore Ravens trading Lamar Jackson to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Why execs think the Raiders fit makes sense

Jackson is a two time NFL MVP, a former Heisman Trophy winner, and still only 29, which is why one evaluator called this the “ultimate Mark Davis move” that would instantly solve Las Vegas’ quarterback problem.

The Raiders also hold the No. 1 overall pick after a brutal season, giving them the kind of premium trade chip that can actually start a real negotiation for a franchise quarterback, even if the price would almost certainly be more than just that one pick.

Why Baltimore still has leverage and urgency

This is where the situation gets real, because the Ravens have been clear they want Jackson to stay, but they also want his contract cleaned up fast.

Owner Steve Bisciotti has said he wants an extension done by March, largely because Jackson’s 2026 cap hit sits at roughly $74.5 million, a number that squeezes everything else a roster is trying to do.

Fowler noted there has been perceived tension, from chemistry concerns to availability chatter, and that how Jackson hits it off with the new head coach will matter.

This past season, Jackson threw a 63.6 completion percentage, along with 21 touchdowns, seven interceptions, and 349 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns across 13 games.
