NFL Rumors: Deebo Samuel Linked to AFC Team

There are still some notable free agents looking for their new homes at this stage of the offseason. One of them is Deebo Samuel, as the 30-year-old wide receiver remains available for the taking. Given his strong resume, it is very likely that multiple teams will look to add him before the season is here.

Samuel appeared in 15 games during this past season with the Washington Commanders, where he had five touchdowns, 727 receiving yards, and 72 receptions. With numbers like these, the former All-Pro wide receiver could still be a strong addition to a team looking for a boost on offense.

Now, Samuel is being linked to a team in the AFC South.

In a recent article for Sports Illustrated, Gilberto Manzano named the Indianapolis Colts as the "ideal landing spot" for Samuel.

When looking at the Colts roster, there is no question that they could use a veteran wide receiver like Samuel. He would give them another solid option to work with on offense, which is certainly a need for the Colts heading into the 2026 season.

After finishing this past season with an 8-9 record, the Colts should be looking to boost their roster this offseason. Bringing in Samuel would do just that, and it will be interesting to see if they can land him from here.
