NFL Rumors: Ex-Browns TE David Njoku Linked to AFC East Team

David Njoku, Cleveland Browns

David Njoku is one of the most notable free agents still looking to land his next deal as we approach the middle of April. When noting that he is one of the top players still available for the taking, it is very likely that he will generate interest as the offseason rolls on.

Njoku spent this past season with the Cleveland Browns, where he had four touchdowns, 33 receptions, and 293 receiving yards. With numbers like these, the one-time Pro Bowler would be a solid pickup for a team looking to improve their depth at the tight end position.

With this, Njoku is now being connected to a team in the AFC East.

In a recent article for Sports Illustrated, Gilberto Mazano named the Miami Dolphins as the top landing spot for Njoku.

When looking at the Dolphins' current roster, there is no question that Njoku would be a good pickup for them if signed. He would give their offense a much-needed boost and could thrive in a more significant role in Miami.

The Dolphins certainly need to improve their offense, and Njoku is one of the best free-agent options for them to do just that. It will be interesting to see if they end up signing him, but the fit looks very strong on paper.
