NFL Rumors: Ex-Patriots Star Stefon Diggs Linked to NFC Team

After being released by the New England Patriots, Stefon Diggs remains one of the top free agents who has yet to find his new home. Yet, when noting that the 32-year-old is one of the best wide receivers still available for the taking, he should generate interest before the season is here.

Diggs spent this past season with the Patriots, where he had four touchdowns, 85 receptions, and 1,013 receiving yards. With numbers like these, he can still make an impact, so it should only be a matter of time for him to land his next deal.

Now, Diggs is being connected to a team in the NFC as the offseason carries on.

In a recent article for Sports Illustrated, Gilberto Manzano named the Atlanta Falcons as the "ideal landing spot" for Diggs in free agency.

When looking at the Falcons' current roster, it is clear that they could use a wide receiver like Diggs. He would give them another valuable player on offense, which would certainly benefit a Falcons team that is coming off an 8-9 season.

With this, the Falcons certainly are standing out as a team to watch when it comes to Diggs. It will be intriguing to see if they end up being the team that signs him.
