NFL Rumors: Ravens Linked to Trade for Bears 6-Foot-6 Tight End
The Baltimore Ravens are undoubtedly a team to keep a very close eye on as the offseason continues. It is clear that they need to add more players to their offense before the regular season is here. One specific part on their roster that they should look to boost is the tight end position, and they are now being linked to an interesting one from the Chicago Bears.
In a recent article for Bleacher Report, Kristopher Knox made a trade pitch that would have the Ravens acquire Bears tight end Cole Kmet in exchange for a conditional 2027 fourth-round pick.
With the Ravens needing another tight end, it would be understandable if they went after a top trade target like Kmet. He would give them another impactful tight end to work with as they look to be one of the top teams in the NFL this upcoming season. He also could thrive playing with a star quarterback like Lamar Jackson throwing him the ball.
Kmet appeared in 16 games during this past season with the Bears, where he had two touchdowns, 30 receptions, and 347 receiving yards. This is after the 6-foot-6 tight end had four touchdowns, 474 receiving yards, and 47 receptions for the Bears during the 2024 season. With numbers like these, he would have the potential to be a very solid pickup for the Ravens if they landed him.
Nevertheless, it will be very interesting to see if the Ravens end up swinging a trade with the Bears for Kmet from here, but they should be a team to watch in the sweepstakes.
