NFL Rumors: Ex-Lions OT Taylor Decker Linked to NFC Rival

Former Detroit Lions offensive tackle Taylor Decker is one of the most notable free agents still available for the taking with May now here. While this is the case, it is very likely that Decker will find his next home soon.

Because of this, Decker is now being linked to one of the Lions' rivals as the offseason rolls on.

In a recent article for CBS Sports, Tyler Sullivan named the Chicago Bears as the best potential landing spot for Decker.

"Decker requested his release from the Lions earlier this offseason after 10 seasons with the franchise. Now, he's looking for a new opportunity, and it'll be interesting to see if he sticks within the NFC North and joins his old friend Ben Johnson in Chicago," Sullivan wrote.

When noting that the Bears could use another tackle, it makes sense that they are being viewed as a potential landing spot for Decker. He would have the potential to be a strong pickup for Chicago.

It will be interesting to see if the Bears end up being the team that signs Decker this offseason. When noting that he is a 10-year veteran and former Pro Bowler, he would be a good player for the Bears to take a chance on.
