NFL Rumors: Deebo Samuel Linked to NFC North Team
Deebo Samuel is one of the top NFL free agents still available for the taking, with it now being May. With Samuel having a very strong resume and still being a solid player at this stage in his career, it should not take him much longer to land his next contract.
Teams looking for help at the wide receiver position should be open to taking a chance on Samuel. Because of this, a new team is being connected to the seven-year veteran.
In a recent article for Pro Football Focus, Bradley Locker named the Minnesota Vikings as the top potential landing spot for Samuel at this point in the offseason.
"Minnesota could use more at receiver after losing Jalen Nailor to the Raiders," Locker wrote. "Next to Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, Samuel could help fill Nailor’s void in the slot while infusing more juice after the catch and overall creativity for Kevin O’Connell."
With the Vikings in need of another wide receiver, it would make a lot of sense if they took a chance on Samuel. He would provide them with another solid receiver with plenty of experience, which would not be a bad thing in the slightest for a Vikings team that is looking to be better in 2026.
Samuel appeared in 16 games during this past season with the Washington Commanders, where he had five touchdowns, 72 receptions, and 727 receiving yards. With numbers like these, he would be a nice pickup for the Vikings, and it will be intriguing to see if they can land him from here.
