Tennessee Titans Could Trade 4-Time 1,000-Yard Rusher
ESPN's Dan Graziano named Pollard among his early trade deadline candidates for the second straight year.
"The Titans have not looked good," Graziano wrote. "Pollard sort of has, rushing for 173 yards at 4.6 per carry. Running back is a position where teams endure significant attrition throughout the season, and Pollard is a veteran who could help fill a hole with a contender if the Titans fall out of contention as many expect."
A Situation That's Already Played Out Once Before
This isn't new territory for Pollard.
It was reported before last year's deadline that Tennessee was already fielding calls on him, alongside teammates Arden Key, T'Vondre Sweat, and Dre'Mont Jones.
Tennessee ultimately held onto him anyway, making just two minor deals, cornerback Roger McCreary to the Rams and Dre'Mont Jones to the Ravens, while Pollard stayed put for the rest of the season.

A year later, the circumstances line up almost identically.
Pollard is in the final season of the three-year, $21.75 million contract he signed with Tennessee back in 2024, carrying a $6.74 million base salary this year.
He's rushed for over 1,000 yards in each of the past four seasons, and he currently ranks eighth among qualified running backs in PFF grade, at 76.0, with 38 carries, 173 yards, and eight forced missed tackles through three games.
Trading him would leave Tennessee with $2 million in dead money, a manageable number given what the Titans could recoup in return.
Cam Ward's Development Complicates The Math
The wrinkle this year is rookie quarterback Cam Ward.
Pollard's fate is tied directly to how much Tennessee wants to protect Ward's development, since stripping out veteran playmakers around a rookie quarterback carries its own risk regardless of what it returns in draft capital.
Tyjae Spears remains the clear fallback option in the backfield if Tennessee does decide to move on from Pollard.
Tennessee has five games before the November 10 deadline, against Baltimore, Houston, Indianapolis, Cleveland, and Cincinnati, with a Week 9 bye sitting right before the cutoff.
How those games go will likely determine whether Pollard's situation plays out the same way it did last year, or whether this is finally the season Tennessee decides to move him.
