Aaron Rodgers Makes History in Sunday Thriller

Aaron Rodgers entered the Top 5 on the all-time passing touchdowns list on Sunday recording his 421st and 422nd against the Cincinnati Bengals, passing Dan Marino and Philip Rivers in the process. The game was nothing short of a thriller after Mason Crosby successfully kicked the game-winning field goal in overtime. The absolute monstrosity that went on prior to was forgotten as both Crosby and Bengals kicker Evan McPherson had missed multiple FGs throughout the game. Five consecutive to be exact.

Thankfully, the Green Bay Packers were able to secure the win and Rodgers was able to celebrate the moment with a good feeling. "The heat, five quarters, we expended a lot of energy in there. Enjoyed that win. There's nothing like winning. I'm proud of the guys," said Rodgers. "I'm proud of the defence, especially, the way they kept stepping up. We didn't trail after we kicked a field goal at 9-7, which was really important mentally for us. I'm really proud of the way those guys battled. You're hugging guys who you might not even know their first and last names sometimes, so it's fun to bring together a group like that."

Touchdown No. 421 came early in the second quarter. It was a 12-yard pass to AJ Dillon, who is the 43rd player to catch a touchdown from Rodgers. No. 422 was later in that same quarter and it was a 5-yarder to Davante Adams. It was Adams’ 66th touchdown catch from Rodgers and only Jordy Nelson has more than him with 70. I'm sure Adams will become No. 1 on that list sooner rather than later.
