Buccaneers Removing Jon Gruden From Ring of Honor

In some of the least shocking news of the season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have decided to remove former head coach Jon Gruden from their Ring of Honor. This comes after Gruden resigned from coaching the Las Vegas Raiders over emails that have surfaced that were filled with hate speech.

The Buccaneers had this to say in their released statement:

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have advocated for purposeful change in the areas of race relations, gender equality, diversity, and inclusion for many years. While we acknowledge Jon Gruden's contributions on the field, his actions go against our core values as an organization. Therefore, he will no longer continue to be a member of the Buccaneers Ring of Honor

Gruden was selected for the Ring of Honor back in 2017 after he led the Bucs to victory at Super Bowl XXXVII. His record was 57-55 as head coach in Tampa from 2002-08.

According to reports the emails found from Gruden's account that spans back roughly a decade were from his days working at ESPN. While the NFL was investigating the Washington Football Team's culture they uncovered Gruden's work.
