Don't Expect to See This Buccaneers Player Traded
Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians has made one thing clear, the team isn't interested in trading running back Ronald Jones.
The NFL's trade deadline is November 2, and while the Bucs could be active in other deals, don't expect to see Jones shipped out of town. Arians met with the media earlier this week and had this to say on a potential deal:
No, none at all. It's a long season, and just that scenario that happened last year and still with COVID, you can't have enough good backs
A bit of a security blanket from the sounds of it, Jones will be used in a backup role and be ready to take over should an injury occur or starter Leonard Fournette struggles. The 24-year-old Jones has ran the ball 18 times so far in 2021, for 118 yards and one score.
Tough break for Jones as he just wants to play after leading the Bucs in rushing last season. Sounds like he's going to have to wait his turn in Tampa Bay.
