Flowers was a fifth-round draft pick back in 2018 and had been a staple on the team's defense. The 26-year-old started 40 games for the birds and recently wasn't enjoying his time with the team.
Flowers was hard on the coaching staff after their Week 3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings and all that got him was a demotion out of the starting lineup in Week 4. From there the marriage was ruined and Flowers wanted out. Now he gets his wish and is free to sign with any team.
Flowers was in the final season of his contract and is set to become a free agent in 2022. Now that's been expedited.
