NFL Rumors: Tom Brady Opens Up About Future in Football

The Tom Brady Retirement tracker is officially running full tilt as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were eliminated over the weekend by the Los Angeles Rams. Brady was immediately asked about his playing career and if the loss to the Rams on Sunday was his final game. While the savvy veteran dodged the questions pretty well, he's now opening up to what exactly his future holds.

Arguably the greatest quarterback of all-time spoke on the Let's Go podcast and had this to say about what factors are going to play a major role in his decision:

I think as I've gotten older, I think the best part is, is football is extremely important in my life, and it means a lot to me, and I care a lot about what we're trying to accomplish as a team, and I care a lot about my teammates. It's not always what I want. It's what we want as a family. And I'm gonna spend a lot of time with them and figure out in the future what's next

Tampa Bay won't be rushing Brady to make a decision and confirmed the team will wait this out to see what the legend decides to do. The Bucs are loaded with free agents and expect the quarterback to keep track of who is being re-signed and let go and base his decision from there.

At 44 years old Brady put up amazing numbers leading the league with 5,316 passing yards and 43 touchdowns. He does have one year remaining on his deal so it sounds like it's either the Bucs or retirement at this point.

From all accounts it sounds like 2022 will be the final season of his career and expect the Bucs to do whatever they can to bring back their best players and give their quarterback the best possible chance to go out as a Super Bowl champion once again.
