Dolphins Release Wide Receiver

The Miami Dolphins have released Allen Hurns.

Hurns hasn't actually played a game with the Dolphins since the 2019 campaign. This is because he opted out of the 2020 season and then missed the entirety of last year due to injury. Although the 30-year-old was hoping to make a return for Miami from here, that will not occur after this development.

It will be interesting to see if Hurns can find himself a new home after being away from game action for so long. During the 2019 season with the Dolphins, he had two touchdowns, 32 receptions, and 416 total yards in 14 games.

In 82 career games between the Jacksonville Jaguars, Dallas Cowboys, and Dolphins, Hurns has 25 touchdowns and 241 receptions. His best year came back in 2015, as he recorded an impressive 10 touchdowns in 15 games. Nevertheless, let's see if Hurns is able to build on those numbers from here.
